"3-D" is a single by Randomese rapper Lil Important from his mixtape Finally Happy. It was released on music platforms on September 20, 2014. The song debuted at number 87 and peaked at 19 on the Random-ness Music Hot 100. 3-D was Important's most popular song, staying on the Random-ness Hot 100 chart for 37 weeks and being his most streamed song until "Back" in 2019. Many have credited the song for starting Important's career.
Background
Important recorded the song in early 2013, where he found a "lit beat" while browsing Youtube. He claims that verse 1 was a freestyle while it took a while to write verse 2.
On August 8, 2014, Important previewed the song on his Instagram, where he was praised by multiple fans and critics for the production and known lyrics at the time. Sometime during early September that year, verse two was partially leaked, leading to a delay of the release.
Eventually on September 20, 2014, the song was fully released.
Critical reception
The Random Times writer, Xian "PizzaPizzaYumYum" Lolz stated, "Important perfectly shows his talent to newcomer fans of his, if you wanna get into Important, this is the song." Longtime Lil Important fan and YouTuber, DaManFan23 stated "This is that one song you should always have playing at parties".
On 2014, Random-ness Music Hot 100 managers named the song as the Best Rap Single of 2014.

3-D first entered the Random-ness Music Hot 100 on September 30, 2014 at number 87 and peaked number 19 in November 2014.
On April 2015 the song surpassed one million likes on SoundCloud, on December 2018, it surpassed two million.
Across all streaming platforms, the song currently sits at around 700 million streams.
