|~ Extract from Kai's book (Xs indicate smudged out areas)|
Caillou (also known as Revision 0 when the researchers couldn't even bear to write his name) was the subject of the Caillou Improvement Project and the reason the entire thing was created. While he is never seen on screen, as it was five million years since his show ended that the research took place, he is mentioned in almost every episode of Placeholder title Kai VHS Revolution. Obviously, Kai never met him.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
From what Kai gathered as factual information in the extract book they took to Blossom Glen, Caillou didn't have any hair, for some strange reason. There were some...theories on why was this was, the kindest being 'he doesn't grow hair because his body doesn't deserve hair, oxygen, food or love', but Kai doesn't think any of the reasons are true due to them being in the 'bitter notes' section. In the pictures throughout the book, he is pictured wearing either a yellow or grey shirt with a red collar, light blue shorts, red decorative shoes, and yellow scrunched socks. The notes in the book said he was four years old.
The picture in the infobox is the most flattering picture Kai could find in the book. There were many pictures of him in the book, and most of them were rather graphic, depicting the character being murdered or hurt in various ways, being listed as their imaginary 'punishment days'.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Like the previous section, Kai had to figure out for themselves what was factual information in the book and what was exaggerated. They read that Caillou was a spoiled brat and badly behaved. There are many notes about some bad things he did to his sister Rosie, like pinching her when she was a baby and pushing her around. Some of the words are rather blurry and smudged in the book, which didn't help.
Book Induced Issues[edit | edit source]
In a combination of smudged out writing and missed out details, Kai is not sure if Caillou was a real person or a cartoon character. There are a lot of notes, because of these issues, apparently saying Caillou was a real child that was hated by the entire planet due to notes like 'In 20XX, International Post published an editorial describing the 199X–20XX preschool xxxxxxxxxx Caillou as the world's most universally reviled childxxxxxxxxxxxxx' the Xs indicating smudged out parts.
Kai's thoughts[edit | edit source]
Kai is not sure what is true about Caillou from the book. If it was all true, they would feel rather afraid to meet him. However, they are sure that at least some of the book is exaggerated. At least some of it? The book listed nothing but bad things about him, and they wonder if there was at least some positive things about him.
